Keyboard Shortcuts

Only shortcuts confirmed against ScreenClipr's own code and documentation are listed here. Global capture shortcuts ship with the defaults below but are fully customizable.

Two box annotations multi-selected on a product catalog screenshot in ScreenClipr's editor, showing individual selection outlines plus the shared group bounding box with its resize handle, ready for ⌘A-style multi-select actions like nudging or duplicating together
Marquee-select or shift-click multiple shapes to move, nudge, or duplicate them together — the group keeps a shared bounding box until you click away.

These are rebindable. Every global capture shortcut lives in Preferences › Shortcuts, using the same hotkey recorder for each action. Click a shortcut's recorder field and press your preferred combination to change it — ScreenClipr warns you inline if it conflicts with another shortcut already in use, and a shortcut is never left unassigned: every action always has either your custom binding or its default.

Global capture shortcuts

These work from anywhere on macOS, without switching to ScreenClipr first — this is what makes the "one shortcut, no menu diving" workflow possible.

ActionDefault shortcutWhat it does
All-in-One capture picker Control + Shift + C Opens the Image/Video mode picker wherever your cursor is.
Scrolling Capture Control + Shift + V Starts a scrolling capture of a long page or document.
Step Capture Control + Shift + S Arms step-by-step capture — every click in another app auto-captures a numbered step.
Window capture ⇧ ⌘ 8 Captures a single window under the cursor.
Repeat last capture ⇧ ⌘ 0 Re-runs the most recent capture mode without reopening the picker.

Note: these five defaults deliberately avoid macOS's own built-in screenshot chords (⇧⌘3/⇧⌘4/⇧⌘5) so the two never silently shadow each other.
